Nanotechnology is increasingly becoming the foundation for the future development of key industries in Europe. Through the last years, Saxony has been extremely successful in building upon its strong industrial, scientific and technological traditions and is now one of Europe's leaders in microelectronics and nanotechnology.

In the course of the first Saxon-Britisch Nanotechnology Forum Saxon and British nanotechnology experts from industry and research met each other on 3rd October 2005, in order to

• present and discuss the latest developments in the field of Nanotechnology and
• provide the opportunity to meet potential project partners
